Für das Statistische Informationssystem des Bundes wurde im Rahmen eines Forschungsprojekts in den Jahren 1976-1979 im Statistischen Bundesamt der 'Statistik-Thesaurus' erarbeitet. Im Mittelpunkt dre Arbeiten stand die Ordnung statistischer Begriffe nach Begriffsfeldern und die Erstellung von Definitionen
