Abstract

OCLC has released SiteSearch 3.0, a new version of its OCLC SiteSearch software tools. It enables libraries to construct browsable, searchable electronic resources across a local network and merge these resources with remote databases into a single seamless system accessed via a Web browser. SiteSearch 3.0 includes multiserver searching, image support and increased security. Discusses the addition of the Ambassador Book service to OCLC's PromptCat, a service providing cataloguing to libraries for materials supplied by participating vendors
