Abstract

Reviews the range of CD-ROM indexing and authoring software and their producers with a listing of some of the factors involved in choosing suitable systems by prospective users and the pricing variations that exist. Groups the products into 2 basic cost categories: lower minimum cost (sakSam, CD:Search; DB/TextWorks, ISYS; OmniSearch; QuickSearch, and RecallPlus) and higher minimum cost (Clearview, FolioViews, GTIPublisher, Headfast, Insight, Optisearch, Optiware, and Optosof
