Abstract
Eine wesentlich detailliertere Darstellung der einzelnen staatlichen Förderprogramme zur Entwicklung der Information und Dokumentation (Fachinformation) in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bis Mitte der 1990er Jahre ist in entsprechenden Kapiteln der Vorauflagen dieses Buches gegeben. Darüber hinaus sind Angaben über die finanziellen Aufwendungen des Bundes für die staatlichen Förderprogramme zusammengetragen worden. Dort werden auch Hinweise zu wissenschaftspolitischen Einordnungen sowie die allgemeinen forschungs- und technologiepolitischen Entwicklungen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg gegeben. Im folgenden werden chronologisch die zentralen Entwicklungen in der Formulierung dieses Politikbereiches zusammengefasst. Auf eine Darlegung der Stellungnahmen aus der Fachöffentlichkeit zu den staatlichen Förderprogrammen muss aus Platzgründen verzichtet worden. Gleiches gilt auch für die Darstellung der Entwicklungen in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik.
