Abstract
Das Internet bietet als modernes Kommunikations- und Informationsmedium Chancen und Möglichkeiten, die weit über das Potential traditioneller Medien hinausgehen. Zugleich erwachsen hieraus aber auch Probleme für moderne Gesellschaften. Computersabotage, Urheberrechts- und Datenschutzverletzungen sind nur Teilbereiche der neuartigen Herausforderung. Einen besonderen Platz nimmt auch der Kampf gegen rechtswidrige und sonst schädigende Inhalte in den Diensten des Internet ein. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll den gegenwärtigen Stand der Rechtsentwicklung auf diesem Gebiet wiedergeben, sowie technische und juristische Möglichkeiten für ein gezieltes Vorgehen gegen problematische Inhalte in den Diensten des Internet aufzeigen. Außerdem werden internationale Ansätze für den Umgang mit derartigen Inhalten dargestellt und diskutiert. Dabei gilt ein besonderes Augenmerk dem Recht der Europäischen Gemeinschaft.
