Abstract

In dem Maße, wie die Bibliotheken Einführungen, Schulungen und Kurse zur Förderung von Informations- und Medienkompetenz anbieten, müssen sie sich gewisser pädagogisch-didaktischer Essentials vergewissern, um nicht an der großen Aufgabe zu scheitern. Teilweise wird die Auffassung vertreten, dass es vor allem auf die Ziele "Zweifel und Neugier" ankomme, also auf bestimmte Haltungen und Einstellungen des Lernenden, weniger auf die Inhalte, also beispielsweise den OPAC oder die Signatur. Ersteres wäre Lernziel einer Learning Library, die keinen instruierenden Lehrvortrag kenne, sondern das aktive problemorientierte Selbstlernen in Gruppen fördere, die "Wissensvermittlung" wäre hingegen Lernziel einer Teaching Library, die nur die Methode des "Vortrags" oder des "Vorführens" und des nachvollziehenden Übens der Lernenden im Plenum praktiziere. Die nachfolgenden Anmerkungen aus erziehungswissenschaftlich-didaktischer Sichte sollen zur Klärung dieser möglicherweise irreführenden didaktischen Thesen beitragen.
