Abstract
Roboter, die in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft die gesamte Menschheit unterjochen, empfindet so mancher als ernstzunehmende Gefahr. Im Silicon Valley geht man mit der Vision der "technologischen Singularität", die die Zeit der Machtübernahme überlegener Maschinen meint, noch einen Schritt weiter. Künstliche Intelligenz ist in dieser Denkart nicht einfach nur entfesselte technische Power, sondern ein existenzbestimmendes Element, in welchem sich die technologische Natur des Menschen zeigt. Aktuelle Fortschritte im Bereich der KI wie die Tatsache, dass die Google-Tochter Deepmind jüngst den besten Go-Spieler der Welt besiegt hat, werden auch sonst gern zum Anlass genommen, die Existenz einer Superintelligenz heraufzubeschwören, die uns nicht unbedingt wohlgesonnen ist.
