Abstract
Was ist primär, das Bewußtsein, die Kenntnis der eigenen Gedanken und Gefühle, oder das Verstehen, die Kenntnis der Gedanken und Gefühle anderer? Hier wird der Vorschlag gemacht, Verstehen als primär zu betrachten. Bewußtsein bildet sich durch die Internalisierung von Verstehensakten und ist daher ein soziales Phänomen. In diesem Buch werden einige theoretische Grundlagen für eine solche Sicht auf das Bewußtsein gelegt. Darüberhinaus geht es u.a. um die Frage, welche Rolle die Kunst in diesem Rahmen für die Bewußtmachung von Wahrnehmungen und Gefühlen spielen kann.
