The emergence of a competitive market for CD-ROM encyclopedias opens up the possibility of being able to select according to criteria set by the libraries themselves. reviews the features a prospective buyer should expect to see in a CD-ROM product and draws up a checklist for the evaluation of a CD-ROM encyclopedia
