Abstract

Reviews the literature concerning end-users from several perspectives: as consumers in terms of their database searching needs and expectations, requirements and attitudes and from the perspective of bibliographic instruction. Provides insight into the amorphous end user, especially in illustrating some interesting ironies relevant to end-users satisfaction and their attitude to instruction. Reports surveys compiled at the University of Connecticut Health Library's Electronic Reference Area concerning end users abilities, experience, and attitudes toward searching and instruction
