Abstract
Neuronen sind einzigartig: Sie faszinieren durch ihre individuelle, oft bizarre äußere Gestalt, ihr impulsives Wesen und ihre Kontaktfreudigkeit. Keine andere Zelle ist ähnlich spezialisiert und kommunikativ. Wie sind diese Grundbausteine des Gehirns aufgebaut, wie funktionieren sie, was macht sie so anpassungsfähig und flexibel? Die Beantwortung dieser Fragen mittels ausgefeilter experimenteller Möglichkeiten sorgt für den Nervenkitzel und die magische Anziehungskraft der molekularen und zellulären Hirnforschung
