Abstract

Describes the use of networking technologies to create learning environments that mimic the social interaction and cognitive dissonance that occurs in regular classroom. Argues that networking technologies offer the means to implement large-scale education programmes to instruct users how to use an electronic enviroment that is exponential in growth and ephemeral in nature. Discusses an electronic WWW based course at the Distance Education Program at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec
